Student Day of Action Begins – POLICE CAUSE CHAOS

As students assemble for the latest day of action against fees and education cuts:

– Rally assembles for noon, Trafalgar square
– Police attempt to pre-emptively kettle protesters as they assemble, Trafalgar square
– Police have reneged on agreement to allow protest until 3pm.
– Police have chased protesters to St. James’ Park and elsewhere

Police are causing chaos, chasing protesters who are fleeing kettles. Fear and panic, and potential for injury are being caused by the methods of the police. We are getting reports of kids falling over while attempting to escape kettles.

As far as we are aware, no one has yet been kettled. We will continue to update as new information becomes available.
